دوست عزیزم سید سجاد موسوی زحمت کشیده است و رباعیهایی که به آیات القرمزی تقدیم کرده بودم را به انگلیسی برگردانده است.

Poems For Ayat Al-Ghermezi by Mohammad Mahdi Shafiei
To my sister,
Ayat
Never can the
autumn understand this garden
Nor ever a hundred endless forests can
Alas! Alas! Like the crying of the ocean
Your smile can never the world understand
From your lips is apparent the spring’s bitter
And from the gory words you do utter
Drop by drop jihad verses 1
they are, look
Drizzling they are from your gash on my book
Plotted together, the Well 2 they took away
This undefended Joseph they took away
At night, asleep the tiger did stay
A pack of wolves, the moon they took away 3
Unallowed an elegy in its book it has written
Carries on its shoulder a body like a burden
Alive you are, in me is flowing the voice of you
Lie, it is but a lie that history is telling anew
[1] “Verses” is
the equivalent of the word “ayat” in Arabic which is the plural form of ayah—a
verse in the Quran. Jihad verses refer to those verses in the Quran which
encourage Muslims to fight/kill for the sake of Allah
[2] Refers to the well into
which Joseph was thrown
[3] According to legend, when
the moon is full, the tigers would go to the highest point of where they live; Jumping
to grab the moon, they fall and die. The tiger here, as the poet himself says,
symbolizes a lover
